SIZE AND FIT GUIDE
Choosing the perfect eyewear can be a complex process.
The guide aims to give you a helping hand in order to find a perfect match for you.
All eyewear has different functional and aesthetic characteristics. We use 4 main pieces of information
to determine these attributes
Fit, size, bridge and nose pads
WHAT'S THE FIT?
Fitting is aesthetical information which determines the amount of face coverage of a given size.
The two possible fittings are.
- Medium Fit- A medium lens front is designed for those who prefer to cover an average portion of the face.
- Wide Fit- A larger lens front is designed for those who prefer to cover larger portion of face.
WHAT IS THE FRAME SIZE
The size of the frame counts as functional information which is defined by one principal number:
- Hinge-to-Hinge distance: The width of the frame measured from the inside of the eyewear from the center of each hinge.
This information is defined by the following size:
Hinge to hinge (mm) | Hinge to hinge (inch) | Size |
125 to 132 | 459/64 - 513/64 | Medium |
133 to 136 | 515/64 - 523/64 | Wide |
HOW DO I KNOW THE RIGHT SIZE FOR ME?
You can try our size advisor and let us measure it for you or you can measure the hinge-to-hinge distance of a pair of glasses you already own with a ruler.
OTHER MEASUREMENTS:
MODEL CODE | LENS WIDTH | BRIDGE WIDTH | TEMPLE WIDTH |
SHINZO | 52 | 19 | 145 |
The first one is the model’s name then the lens width and bridge width. There is usually a third number which represent the temple length, which is the measurement in millimeters of the “arms” of the frame.
Sometimes there is also a fourth number which is the lens height.
Each of this number is measured in mm.
OTHER MEASUREMENTS:
This functional information’s describes the different types of bridges and nose pads
The four possible bridge and nose pads options are:
- High bridge fit offers a more secure and comfortable fit for those with a high nose bridge and lower cheekbones. A good choice if the bridge of your nose is above the level of your pupils.
- Low bridge fit offers a more secure and comfortable fit for those with a low nose bridge and higher cheekbones. A good choice if eyewear tends to slide down your nose, sit too low, or press on your temple or cheeks.
- Universal fit this option accommodates most face shapes.
- Adjustable nose pads: nose pads that can be widened or narrowed to fit your unique nose
shapes.

How do I clean my glasses?
Here are some general care tips for sunglasses:
- Keep them in a case when not in use: This helps to protect your sunglasses from scratches, accidental damage, and exposure to moisture, dust, and debris.
- Use a Premium Shisen Fox microfiber Selvet to clean them: Avoid using paper towels or clothing to clean your sunglasses as they can scratch the lenses. Instead, use a Premium Shisen Fox microfiber Selvet to gently clean the lenses.
- Avoid leaving them in a hot car: Extreme heat can cause the lenses and frames to warp or crack, so avoid leaving your sunglasses in a hot car or any other place with high temperatures.
- Rinse them with water: If your sunglasses are exposed to salt water or chlorine, rinse them with clean water and dry them with Premium Shisen Fox microfiber Selvet.
- Don't use harsh chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia to clean your sunglasses as they can damage the lenses or frames.
- Replace scratched or damaged lenses: If your lenses are scratched or damaged, consider replacing them to maintain the clarity and effectiveness of your sunglasses.
